Insert Bearings

Turner insert bearings are replaceable components designed for use in our mounted ball bearing units, allowing worn bearings to be replaced without changing the entire housing assembly. Each series is engineered for a unique combination of load requirements and operating conditions, with different locking methods used to secure the inner ring to the shaft.

UER200 Series

UER inserts are general-duty ball bearing inserts that use Turner’s Tru-Loc concentric locking system to apply uniform 360° clamping around the shaft. Dual extended inner rings provide added shaft support, while a snap ring on the cylindrical outer diameter provides fixed axial location. This combination makes the series well-suited for idlers, take-ups, guided shafts, and other machined assemblies where bearing creep or axial walk could affect tracking or alignment.

Because the outer diameter is cylindrical, UER inserts are not self-aligning and are intended for accurately machined housings rather than pillow block or flange units. As with other concentric locking designs, they are not intended for heavy thrust or vertical shaft loading.

Turner’s Tru-Loc concentric locking collar applies uniform radial clamping force to maintain shaft concentricity and deliver smooth torque transmission while minimizing inner-ring distortion and shaft scoring.

The snap ring groove enables fixed axial positioning within sprockets or machined assemblies.

Dual extended inner rings increase shaft contact area and help reduce inner-ring cocking.

A cylindrical outer diameter intended for press-fit applications rather than self-aligning housings.

A precision-machined relubrication ring aligns with the housing grease fitting to direct grease into the ball path for consistent lubrication.

The Turner Advantage

SAE 52100 steel inner and outer rings provide consistent hardness and fatigue resistance that increases service life.

Optional L3 triple-lip seals increase sealing contact for better protection in severe contamination conditions.

Steel retainers improve durability under heat, shock, and variable loading compared to polymer cages.

Available with Lubrilife permanent lubrication for maximum contamination protection without routine maintenance.

Standard contact seals retain grease and block common industrial contaminants.
