Insert Bearings
Turner insert bearings are replaceable components designed for use in our mounted ball bearing units, allowing worn bearings to be replaced without changing the entire housing assembly. Each series is engineered for a unique combination of load requirements and operating conditions, with different locking methods used to secure the inner ring to the shaft.
SER200 Series
SER inserts are general-duty ball bearing inserts with set screw locking and a cylindrical outer diameter designed for press-fit mounting. A snap ring on the outer diameter provides positive axial location, making this series well-suited for idler sprockets, pulleys, and custom-machined assemblies where the bearing must remain fixed in position. Because the outer diameter is cylindrical, SER inserts are not self-aligning and are intended for accurately machined housings rather than pillow block or flange units.
Annealed set-screw ports and 120° screw spacing help maintain inner-ring roundness, reduce cracking risk, and support consistent shaft retention.
The snap ring groove enables accurate axial positioning within idler sprockets and custom-machined assemblies.
Dual extended inner rings increase shaft contact area and help reduce inner-ring cocking.

A precision-machined relubrication ring aligns with the housing grease fitting to direct grease into the ball path for consistent lubrication.
