Insert Bearings
Turner insert bearings are replaceable components designed for use in our mounted ball bearing units, allowing worn bearings to be replaced without changing the entire housing assembly. Each series is engineered for a unique combination of load requirements and operating conditions, with different locking methods used to secure the inner ring to the shaft.
UCX00 Series
UCX inserts are medium-duty ball bearing inserts with set screw locking and a heavier internal cross-section than standard UC designs. Larger rolling elements and a thick-section inner ring increase radial load capacity and rigidity while maintaining the straightforward installation of a set screw insert. They’re a strong choice for conveyors, material handling systems, and processing equipment where higher radial loads or larger shaft sizes demand more capacity without moving to concentric or tapered adapter mounting.
Medium-duty construction with larger rolling elements increases radial load capacity compared to UC200 inserts.
A heavy-section, extra-extended inner ring improves rigidity and reduces inner-ring deflection under higher loads.
Annealed set-screw ports and 120° screw spacing help maintain inner-ring roundness, reduce cracking risk, and support consistent shaft retention.
A spherical outer diameter allows external self-alignment within compatible housings.
A precision-machined relubrication ring aligns with the housing grease fitting to direct grease into the ball path for consistent lubrication.
