Insert Bearings

Turner insert bearings are replaceable components designed for use in our mounted ball bearing units, allowing worn bearings to be replaced without changing the entire housing assembly. Each series is engineered for a unique combination of load requirements and operating conditions, with different locking methods used to secure the inner ring to the shaft.

SA200 & CSA200 Series

SA and CSA inserts are light-duty ball bearing inserts with eccentric locking collars for improved shaft retention in steady, one-direction applications subject to vibration. Their single-extended inner ring profile provides increased shaft contact while maintaining a compact overall width, making them well-suited for light conveyors, small agricultural equipment, and other space-constrained systems with consistent shaft rotation.

SA inserts feature a spherical outer diameter that allows for self-alignment within compatible housings. CSA inserts have a cylindrical outer diameter and are typically used in applications where the bearing is installed directly into a machined bore rather than a standard mounted housing. This makes them suitable for equipment where alignment is controlled by the surrounding structure.

An eccentric locking collar increases shaft retention in one-direction rotation and helps resist loosening under vibration.

A single extended inner ring increases shaft contact area to help reduce inner-ring cocking.

Spherical and cylindrical outer diameter options support self-aligning mounted applications (SA) or bore-mounted configurations (CSA).

Available in relubricatable and non-relubricatable configurations. Relubricatable options allow grease to be replenished through the housing zerk and outer ring port, while “N” suffix options are factory-lubricated and sealed for applications with space or maintenance constraints.

The Turner Advantage

SAE 52100 steel inner and outer rings provide consistent hardness and fatigue resistance that increases service life.

Optional L3 triple-lip seals increase sealing contact for better protection in severe contamination conditions.

Steel retainers improve durability under heat, shock, and variable loading compared to polymer cages.

Available with Lubrilife permanent lubrication for maximum contamination protection without routine maintenance.

Standard contact seals retain grease and block common industrial contaminants.
