Mounted Ball Bearings
Turner mounted ball bearing units are a practical choice for moderate-load applications where high speed, misalignment tolerance, and easy replacement matter more than maximum load capacity. Replaceable bearing inserts simplify maintenance and help minimize downtime.
3-Bolt Flange Units
RFB Series
Mounted ball bearing 3-bolt flange units use a triangular mounting pattern to balance load distribution while maintaining a compact footprint. This design provides greater mounting stability than 2-bolt flanges and requires less space than 4-bolt configurations. They’re well-suited for moderate-load applications such as grain augers, small belt conveyors, packaging lines, sortation systems, and compact drive assemblies where mounting space is limited.
The triangular three-bolt mounting pattern balances load distribution while reducing the required mounting envelope.
Rigid cast iron housings maintain stiffness and alignment under moderate loads.
Compact face-mounted geometry supports stable installation where space constraints prevent the use of four-bolt flanges.
The Turner Advantage
SAE 52100 steel inner and outer rings deliver consistent hardness, fatigue resistance, and predictable long-term performance.
An anti-rotation device helps prevent outer-ring creep in the housing while allowing self-alignment.
Wider inner races improve shaft contact and help reduce inner-ring cocking under load.
Set screw, eccentric collar, and Tru-Loc concentric locking options accommodate different requirements for holding power, shaft protection, and installation efficiency.
Set screws positioned at 120° with annealed ports balance internal forces, reduce distortion, and help prevent cracking during installation.
Available with Lubrilife permanent lubrication for superior contamination protection and maintenance-free operation.
Steel retainers provide improved thermal and fatigue resistance compared to plastic cage alternatives.
