Mounted Tapered Roller Bearings (Type E)
Turner mounted tapered roller bearings are a reliable choice for severe-duty applications with heavy radial loads, significant axial thrust, and continuous-duty operation. Their rigid construction supports stable shaft positioning under shock and structural stress, while integrated sealing and lubrication features extend service life in environments prone to extreme contamination and vibration.
2-Bolt Pillow Block Units
EPB2 Series
Mounted tapered roller bearing 2-bolt pillow blocks are designed for installations where space limitations or existing mounting patterns restrict the use of a 4-bolt housing. The narrower bolt footprint reduces overall mounting width while still providing secure attachment to rigid foundations. The smaller base section requires adequate support and mounting surface flatness to maintain consistent bearing setting under axial thrust. They’re well-suited for narrow conveyor frames, compact drive assemblies, retrofit projects, and other equipment layouts where mounting width is limited but thrust control is still required.
Two-bolt configurations provide secure anchoring while minimizing base footprint.
The compact base reduces mounting width for space-constrained installations or existing two-bolt patterns.
Rigid, well-supported mounting surfaces are important to prevent housing distortion under thrust.
The Turner Advantage
The back-to-back tapered roller configuration supports high radial loads and significant axial thrust in both directions.
SAE 52100 steel rollers and outer rings deliver high surface hardness and fatigue resistance under sustained combined loading.
Corrosion-resistant concentric locking collars with 65° set screws provide secure shaft retention and uniform clamping force in high-load and reversing applications.
Advanced X3 triple-lip oil seals protect against moisture and contamination in dirty, wet, or abrasive environments.
Case-hardened 8620 steel inner rings provide a tough core that resists cracking under axial thrust, interference fits, and shock loading.
One-piece cast iron housings maintain bearing alignment and resist vibration under heavy combined loads.
